Dragon Peaks Horse Trails
Quick Contact
Description
Dragon Peaks is well known for its free roaming herd of horses, many of whom have given generations of young riders, and sometimes not so young, their first ever encounter with such exceptional creatures.
Enjoy a unique opportunity to interact with these powerful yet gentle animals on trails in the spectacular Cathkin Valley. We offer pony rides, half hour, one and two hour trails for the tourist looking for a multi-dimensional experience.
***
Trails go out every day, weather permitting, and even in the evenings on our Starlight Trail!
All rides are graded according to the rider's experience thereby ensuring rider safety and enjoyment for both horse and rider.
Non riders have the opportunity to interact with our horses in our TALKING of HORSES activity on a Saturday afternoon @ 15h15.
***
Trail guides, Lynn and Lwazi have a passion for shifting long held views on horses’ lifestyle requirements to incorporate iron free (no bits/no shoes), mindful riding (how our actions impact the horse), and outside living (free range/no stabling/no blanketing).
